Practicing this common speaking style is crucial, and may present a significant challenge during the learning process.

Developing full range of motion in mouth formation, sound segments, and syllables is a vital aspect of acquiring proficiency in any language. American English has longer syllable sound segments, and the pace of speaking may seem slower at first. Practicing mouth movements, including those of the lips, tongue, and jaw, can help retrain muscle memory for improved pronunciation and enhanced communication abilities.
